I found my house on the Zillion site on a Friday night around 8:30, sent an email inquiring on the property and had a reply in less than 5 minutes, I was blown away by the prompt service I received from Melissa Bartlett! Melissa helped us quickly sell one home, while purchasing another. Her expertise and responsiveness were essential, she was truly an advocate for us in a sometimes stressful process! Her experience, professionalism, sense of humor, and drive made choosing her the easiest decision we had to make in the process. In 2013, Chelsea and I relocated to Maine. Melissa was very patient, as we were not sure exactly what we wanted. We loved the charm of some of the older Victorians in town we could restore, but we also saw the advantages to a more modern subdivision. Finally, Melissa found us something in between, a home in a modern subdivision that needed an extensive remodel. She helped us through the purchase process, and since were were doing a 203K loan to rehab the property, that meant a lot more paperwork and frequent trips to property to let in contractors and inspectors and appraisers before the deal could close. We closed in October 2013 and the renovations began. In April 2014, we were stunned by the news that Chelsea's employer was closing the facility in Pittsfield. Over the next few months, we completed renovations, and in October 2014 ( just a year after purchasing the home) we listed it with Melissa for sale as we would be relocating out of state. It only took two showings (in the middle of a Maine winter) for a satisfactory offer to be made. In the months it took for the sale to close, Melissa kept an eye on the house for us as we were now 1000 miles away, making sure the heat stayed on and the plow guy kept the driveway cleared. The sale closed in February 2015. So in a little over 15 months, Melissa was both our buyer's agent and seller's agent, and she had also previously sold the house years before. That is the advantage of using the best and most experienced Realtor in town: she knows every house in every neighborhood, and in many cases, she has sold them before.

A few years ago I moved to Maine. Melissa was contracted by my employer to find a place me a great place to rent. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. After a couple years I ended up moving to New Jersey (resided NJ for 2 years; a job opportunity). Upon my return to Maine I decided to plant some firm roots and purchase a home. The area in which I decided to look was about 50 miles south of her office. However due to my past experience I requested her assistance. What excellent professionalism. She introduced me to some fantastic properties. I did decide on a particular home and was able to purchase. Melissa actually had to do a bit more work since the seller's agent was not well engaged in the process. She dealt with that obstacle and with some other kinks that had to be ironed out. She also worked in tandem with my closing attorney. Both made the experience a great one! I am absolutely thrilled with the home. I have been living in the new home for about 5 1/2 months.
